Don’t miss the grand opening of the Summat 2011! Between 10am-10.50am, Harry Gration (off BBC Look North) will host a panel conversation, for us all to start chewing on the big issues for the day.
Panelists include: special guest Maurice Glasman, poet Rommi Smith, Hilary Benn MP, trainee human right barrister Maryam Mir, Gerald Jennings from Land Securities PLC, and the amazing Nic Greenan from the LS14 Development Trust (Seacroft)… and there’ll be plenty of audience participation!
This will also be an opportunity to find out what the Summat’s all about, what’s going on, and how you can get the best out of it. We look forward to seeing you then!
In the meantime, please submit your questions for the panel – and all of us – below! Summat to get us thinking, to provoke us, to get us connecting with the big questions of the day, to stir up our hearts and minds… (Please leave your name too, if possible.)

Given growing public anger at inequality in our society, (the Occupy movement being one expression of this), and the growing evidence of the damage done by excessive income inequality (i.e. the recent High pay Commission report, and the research behind ‘The Spirit Level’), What specific legislative measures would you like to see taken to tackle inequality in the UK? And how else might this be tackled?
